

The stages had very smooth textures, and everything was distinguishable. The characters have smooth textures, as well as the stages themselves. The gore is actually pretty realistic for Super Nintendo standards. It was 1994, but back then, the blood in this game was like nothing ever witnessed. The blood and gore in this game is great, but the blood looks a bit like ketchup. Cool, huh? This makes the characters more realistic. Every character is a real person doing the moves. But when Mortal Kombat 2 has graphics such as this, it's no wonder parents were biting their nails when they took their children to the arcades. If this game was released on the Atari or NES, or any other 8-bit system or just had bad graphics in general, that's a different story.
